Selections from the Exhibition

Amy Beeler
          Passion & Adornment II

December 5, 2014 - January 10, 2015

River House Arts is thrilled to present Passion & Adornment II, an exhibition of work by local artist Amy Beeler . The show is a reprisal of the artist’s first solo museum show held this past spring at the University of Maine Museum of Art  and is the only Toledo area display of the collection in its entirety.  Additionally – and just in time for the holidays – River House Arts is offering a large selection of Beeler’s popular Seedpod jewelry line

Passion & Adornment II, opens with a gallery reception on Friday, December 5th, from 6 – 9 PM and runs through January 10th, 2015.

In the nearly two-dozen works of her museum collection and in her jewelry line, Beeler continues her long-standing investigation of botanical forms.  Using silver as her primary medium as well as pearls, gold, glass, and other materials, she translates plant segments and seeds into highly designed, elegant objects that straddle the realms of ornament and sculpture.

The River House Arts show caps off an extraordinary year for Ms. Beeler.  In addition to her museum exhibition, she took top awards at 9 juried art fairs, many of them earned at top-tiered, national shows .
