About the Event
Papalotes En Resistencia is a collaborative kite installation of Frederico Cuatlacuatl and noted Mexican kite maker Pedro Cuacuas on view now in the exhibition, "Pisando Lodo". The installation invites the viewer and community to recognize the urgency of the humanitarian migration crisis and the need for action and solidarity in the face of growing xenophobia in our midst.
On June 5th we invite you to join Frederico and other Rasquache artists in the making – and flying – of traditional kites as an act of resistance, peaceful protest, and anti-racism.
