Iverson's tapestries reference memories and dreams, they deal with the past and the future — both real and imagined. The sense of place and attachment to her environment, landscapes both and remembered, are important aspects of her work.
A resident of rural Hanover, Virginia, Iverson is Professor in the School of the Arts, Department of Craft/Material Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Her tapestries have been exhibited throughout the United States and are included in private and institutional collections including the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. Iverson earned a MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia and a BFA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
